wHO WE ARE
The Redemptorists Monastery Church is an inclusive, multicultural and welcoming institution rooted in the teachings of St Alphonsus.
The Monastery is home to a community of Redemptorists, who seek to bring the Good News to the poor and most abandoned. We preach the importance of individual personhood. People’s lives, dignity, rights, work and relationships matter to God, and matter to us.
We extend a welcome to all to join us in worship and prayer in our church and online. You can find out about our ministries on the pages of this website. Our website also includes online features, upcoming events and multimedia initiatives. We are honoured to accompany you on your Christian journey and hope you return to our site often to keep up to date with the Monastery’s upcoming events and online faith formation.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help
The icon invites us to run to Mary in any of life’s troubles. People come to Mary not so she can cling to us, but so that her open hands might accompany us to an open life. Over time, an open life will bring us to our own integrity before God and the world. Such is the grace of it! That is why people come in their thousands bringing with them the heartaches of the world. That is why they leave as a community restored in hope.
Redemptorist of oceania
The Redemptorists are a religious congregation of priests and brothers within the Catholic Church who live in community for the sake of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, especially among people on the margins of society and church.
Founded in southern Italy in 1732 by St Alphonsus Liguori, Redemptorists are in a majority of countries across the world. Most of our members belong to the Roman Church (Rite), but we have members also in other Churches (Rites) who are in communion with the Holy See.
