“Travelling Renewal” has recently been promoted in three of Australia’s rural and regional Dioceses.
- In 2005, “Travelling Renewal” travelled around all the parishesin the Diocese of Geraldton, W.A. From Dongara in the South to Port Hedland and South Hedland in the north; to Laverton, Leonora and Leinster in the far east; to the coastal areas of Geraldton, Northampton, Carnarvon and Karratha; and to Newman, Tom Price, Mt Magnet and Meekatharra in the interior.
- In 2006, TRP went to the Diocese of Port Pirie, S.A. The programme visited all the parishes, including the large towns of Port Pirie, Whyalla, and Port Lincoln and smaller towns such as Jamestown, Peterborough, Booleroo Centre and Kadina. The programme journeyed along the Riverland towns of Renmark, Berri, Barmera, Loxton, and Waikerie. The mining and remote areas of Coober Pedy, Roxby Downs and Woomera also set aside time for renewal. The far west was included with places like Streaky Bay, Ceduna, Cleve, Kimba, Minnipa and Wudinna.
- In 2007, TRP ventured into North Queensland to the Diocese of Townsville. The team worked in parishes from Proserpine in the south to Ingham in the north and west to the remote areas of Mt Isa, Cloncurry, Winton and Hughenden. Renewal was also conducted in the many parishes in the area of greater Townsville.
- In 2009, TRP is heading “on the road” again. The Diocese of Cairns in far North Queensland promises to be an exciting adventure!
